Palm Sunday - 25th March

On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Great crowds of people rushed to the streets waving palm branches to welcome Him. The people shouted "Hosanna" and laid their cloaks and palm branches from the nearby trees in His path. We remember that Jesus was recognised as King.

10am - St. Peter's Church

4pm - St. Mark's Community Church

Maundy Thursday - 29th March

On this day, we remember the Last Supper - the last meal Jesus shared with disciples before he was arrested. During the meal Jesus took bread and wine and shared them with his disciples. We continue to share bread and wine as part of our service; to help us to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us when he died on the cross.

10am - Service with Holy Communion - St. Peter's Church

Good Friday - 30th March

imageIt was on this day that Jesus was beaten and tortured because he claimed to be the son of God.  A crown of  thorns was thrust upon his head. Then, he was forced to carry his own cross to the on top of a hill, where he was nailed to the cross. Jesus suffered for hours and the sky turned dark as if mourning.

Christians across the world celebrate this day to remember sacrifice of our Lord. It is a day that is mixed with sadness that Jesus died, but with thankfulness that he died for us to take the penalty of our sin upon himself.

10:30am - Walk of Witness - Starting at St. Peter's and walking with the cross towards St. Mark's (arrive approx. 11:20am). We remember events from Jesus' journey to the cross and celebrate his sacrifice for us.

2pm - At the foot of the cross - St. Mark's and St. Peter's Church: A reflective service to mark the death of Jesus on the cross.

Easter Sunday - 1st April

imageOn Easter Sunday we celebrate that Jesus, who was crucified, died and buried, was on the third day raised to life; resurrected from the dead! We celebrate that he rose victorious over sin and death. Christ is risen!
