Online Services

Worship & Care

Day of prayer: Tuesday 2nd June - We will be holding a day of prayer online this year. We hope that different people will be able to commit to praying (from home) for an hour period between 7am and 7pm (ie 7-8am, 8-9am...) culminating in our church family night at 7:30-9pm. If you have access to the internet, please could you sign up for an hour slot by emailing Jo Hepworth. Those who don't have access to the internet can still join in and more details will be delivered in due course.

Ongoing pastoral support: Daily encouragement is available here.
Tony K and Hannah J are coordinating our pastoral care for the elderly in our church family.

Coffee and chat on Sunday - Are you missing chatting to one another after the service on Sunday? Well now we can! At 12pm each Sunday there'll be a meeting via Zoom to give those who want to an opportunity to chat. Bring your own coffee! If you'd like to join in please email Steve Wilcox. If you'd like to join in by phone (landline or mobile) then telephone Steve and he'll give you the details of how you can do that.

Life Groups - Life Groups have restarted and are meeting virtually!
If you're not yet part of a group then this would be a great time to consider joining - not least because we're aware of our need for Christian fellowship more than ever. Groups meet to study God's word, to share fellowship and to pray for each other. Existing groups meet on Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening. There's also a new group on a Thursday evening, which is getting established, if you would be concerned about being a newbie! Do be in touch with Steve Wilcox if you're interested in joining a group. You can find out more about Life Groups here.

Invite a friend to church! - It's never been easier to invite a friend or family member to join us in our Sunday worship - all you need to do is send them the link to the online service and ask if they'd like to join in. Furthermore, around the country church "attendance" has increased dramatically since the lockdown, and it's largely because of people inviting their friends. So why not pray and invite someone that they would.

Church office - In line with government guidance the Church Office is closed and Jo Hepworth will be working from home.Messages can be left on the answerphone at the office and will be picked up periodically. Email messages will be answered as usual. Please could everyone else refrain from going into the office. Jo is happy to do any church-related photocopying which may be needed, if she is gi If you are in need of assistance please do contact the office via the form, rather than the telephone so that your request may be dealt with quicker.

Annual Church Meeting - The Annual Meeting (which was due to be held on Sunday 26th April) has been postponed until such time as we are able to hold it physically. Current Wardens and Church Council members will remain in place until the rescheduled meeting has been held.

Financial Giving - We trust that many people are being blessed through the ministry of the Anlaby Churches at this difficult time. We are thankful to the many who are continuing to give by standing order, to enable us to continue to operate. Though some of our building costs may have dropped, our staff costs and many other costs continue. For those who usually give by envelope, we would be very grateful if you could consider whether you might set up a standing order (if you are able to or donate online. You can find details of how to do this here
